Severe Thunderstorms Possible Tonight

Munster, Indiana (TLS) - The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 11PM.

Hope you enjoyed the dry air while it lasted! It's about to go away along with the heat for a while tonight. What once started as a day with heat indexes up to 115 degrees will end with nice, cooling rain. A couple of storms may occur over certain areas of Northwest Indiana and Northeast Illinois. Hopefully, nobody got their car washed today. The storms could hit areas from Waukegan to Aurora, with a chance of Chicago getting hit as well. They are scheduled to develop around 3:00-4:00 P.M. There's also the possibility of damaging winds and hail along with the heavy downpours. Unless you want to cool off from today, it is recommended to stay indoors. Keep the windows shut and stay safe!
