Excessive Heat Warning until Tuesday

Munster, Indiana (TLS) - This week will be extremely hot in Northwest Indiana, Northeast Illinois, and most parts of the Chicago area.

The National Weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Watch until Tuesday afternoon. Temperatures are reported to hit 100. Therefore, there is an excessive heat watch today. It's slightly cloudy, so the sun will be out most of the time. There's also a slight breeze. It'll be like this for most of the beginning of this week. It is strongly advised that people should stay indoors and stay hydrated to avoid heat stroke and sunburns. It is recommended that, if you should go out, to stay in buildings or shady areas. You should also stay hydrated during the heat wave. School cancellations are possible, so stay tuned.
