Shootout With Police On Interstate 80

Lansing, Illinois (TLS) - A shooting occurred on Interstate 80 around noon on Saturday.

A shooting occurred on the Interstate 80 westbound expressway around Torrence Ave. on Saturday. A black BMW SUV was going down it when a person inside of it started shooting. Unfortunately, someone was shot during the incident, but is still alive, who was taken to a nearby hospital. The vehicle was located and a traffic stop was attempted by Illinois State Police Troopers. "Police were speeding the opposite direction of the highway," Alex, an eyewitness to the event, stated. It fled during the stop and hit another vehicle in the process. Two suspects were apprehended and the other vehicle only received property damage.
